After Vehicle Fire Closed I-95, One Lane Opens, Officials Say

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD —Traffic is jammed on Interstate 95 south near Joppa Road hours after an early morning vehicle fire shut down the interstate Thursday. Before 8 a.m., the left lane had reopened on I-95 south before the MD 43/White Marsh Boulevard exit. The area is heavily congested. All lanes had been closed since after 4:30 a.m. for inspection and cleanup after a vehicle fire, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority. During the closure, southbound traffic on I-95 was diverted to the Express Toll Lanes. Alternate routes include MD 7, US 40 and US 1. Table via CHART.
