Description
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD —Traffic is jammed on Interstate 95 south near Joppa Road hours after an early morning vehicle fire shut down the interstate Thursday.
Before 8 a.m., the left lane had reopened on I-95 south before the MD 43/White Marsh Boulevard exit. The area is heavily congested.
All lanes had been closed since after 4:30 a.m. for inspection and cleanup after a vehicle fire, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.
During the closure, southbound traffic on I-95 was diverted to the Express Toll Lanes. Alternate routes include MD 7, US 40 and US 1.
