wanted- shrimp/bettas

looking for easy to care for shrimp. I have a 5 gal ready with live plants, wood hides and stratum for substrate. i am also looking for a place to purchase bettas other then petsmart. I am considering setting up my 25ish gal bow front tank as a sorority tank. so looking for more easy to care for plants and any ideas would be great!
