LANDSCAPE TECHNICIAN Reports to: Operations Manager   Supervises: N/A Position Overview: The Landscape Technician assists the Crew Leader in performing entry level, quality lawncare and hardscape installations on commercial properties of various sizes. This position is expected to provide quality services to our clients while meeting contracted hours, under the supervision of the Crew Leader. This position may or may not be expected to drive a company vehicle to/from job sites. Snow removal job duties are required during Winter months. Position Details: Salary: Non-Exempt, $14-18.00/hour Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, lift, move, 50lbs. continuously Work Schedule: Hours vary based on seasonal needs as indicated by Branch Manager. Equipment/Tools Used: Skid Steer and other heavy equipment, small power tools, small hand tools, landscaping equipment. Work Location: Dublin, OH Primary Responsibilities: Mow and maintain commercial properties of various sizes. Install plant beds, weed eat, trim, and edge various residential and/or commercial job sites. Assist in the installation of hardscape, plant, water feature, lighting and other projects. Load and unload machinery, power tools, and hand tools; hook up trailer and bobcat Participate in company snow removal events which may be on-call and outside of normal working hours. Safety: Wear required personal protective equipment Practice proper lifting techniques to avoid injuries Report broken or unsafe equipment or conditions to Crew Leader Comply with the company’s safety policies and procedures Learn and safely operate all company equipment such as: Push mower, walk behind, or zero turn mower Skid steer Weed eater Trimmer Pruning sheers Chain saw Truck and trailer Hand pruners Hand tools Carry out other tasks as directed by Crew Leader Be present during all Crew/Company meetings Assist in training of new employees as requested by the Crew Leader Foster teamwork and positively promote company culture Minimum Requirements: Ability to lift/pull/push 50lbs continuously. Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all elements. Ability to work overtime and extended hours determined by Branch Manager. Excellent attendance is required to support our culture of Mutual Respect. Preferred Skills: Certifications: OCNT or equivalent ODA Applicator’s license in Turf and Ornamental Insurability and ability to operate company’s vehicles Knowledge and Competencies: Strong work ethic, embracing accountability and consistency Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, quickly-changing environment Teamwork collaboration Ability to take direction and react appropriately to performance feedback and training.
