Man Charged With Murder In Nottingham Shooting

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Police say a Towson man has been charged with murder and other offenses related to a homicide near Perry Hall. He was also charged with kidnapping, as authorities allege he took a witness from the scene. Marc Jason Jones, 35, of the unit block of Cedar Avenue, was charged in the fatal shooting of a man in a parking lot that occurred Nov. 5, according to authorities. Investigators determined Jones argued with another man in a parking lot in the 4300 block of Bedrock Circle around 9:20 p.m. before shooting him. Teon Deontae Barnes, 21, was found deceased in the parking lot Nov. 5, according to police. After the shooting, police allege Jones forced a witness into his vehicle and drove away before police arrived. Jones is charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, false imprisonment, second-degree assault and using a firearm in the commission of a felony/violent crime.
