Position Summary Miller Beach Vacation Rentals is looking for a Full-time Maintenance Technician to assist in maintaining the working order and appearance of vacation rental properties. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in what they do and has a solid working knowledge of residential property maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, and preventative maintenance. This important member of our team must be reliable, attentive to detail, responsive, an excellent troubleshooter, and available for on-call emergencies. This is an Hourly, Independent Contractor position based in Miller Beach, Indiana. Your Responsibilities Basic drywall repair and patching, interior, and exterior painting Replace breakers, outlets, light fixtures, switch plate covers, ceiling fans, and troubleshoot electrical issues Repair/replace faucets, sinks, toilets, experience with copper sweating/soldering Appliance troubleshooting, repair, and installation Routine safety system checks (e.g. fire alarm, carbon monoxide detector, security cameras, etc.) HVAC troubleshooting and repair Follow preventative maintenance calendar: changing furnace filters, light bulbs, tightening loose furniture/doorknobs, etc. Hot tub cleaning, testing, and maintenance (no experience necessary/training provided) Work alongside groundskeeping maintenance staff on snow removal and lawn care—snowplow experience a plus Open, responsive communication with team and managers Respond to after-hours emergency repairs Your Qualifications 2+ years property maintenance experience required including working knowledge of tools and tasks associated with residential property repairs and maintenance Must have own tools, valid driver's license and car insurance, and reliable, consistent transportation Reliable, responsible, and an effective communicator Available for scheduled on-call shifts and occasional weekend work Agile and able to perform physical duties including stand, sit, and walk for extended amount of time climb stairs lift 50-100 pounds bend, squat, kneel, and twist hear loud noises High School Diploma or equivalent required No criminal history Please click here to apply
