Assistant Superintendent/ Forman/ Construction Field Assistant The construction position includes assisting the Construction Manager in the daily procedures of the project ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, implement and manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals assigned by Superintendent Assist Superintendent in all aspects of the construction job. Assist with the supervision of trade partners from rough, finish, detail, and preparation for final orientation Coordinate job site visits regarding quality, ensuring timely completions and deliveries Perform on-site inspections of the unique work to ensure that the level of quality is acceptable Assist Construction Manager in maintaining records of job changes, including option orders and Purchase Orders Maintain a daily log of job site occurrences Assist in the maintenance of a clean job site, take direction well and be able to use hand tools Adhere to relevant safety regulations, programs, and procedures Manage and guide the use of machinery and equipment Perform all other duties as assigned Ensure labor and other resources necessary are available in a timely manner Train new crew members regarding proper/ safe construction process and company policies. Gives feedback to workers, Led by example Qualifications: EDUCATION AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or GED Required 3 years of construction verifiable knowledge ( Glazing, Railing systems, Commercial Millwork) Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to a daily work schedule is required Basic skills in Microsoft Office Good Math Skills Excellent organizational skills required Valid driver’s license and Utility transportation to the job site Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented Follow directions from supervisors Understand and follow work rules and procedures Accept constructive feedback Team player with a strong work ethic Peacefully resolve any emerging problems and issues OSHA 10 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work full-time outdoors in the heat and cold; the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs, climb ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment that may be in excess of 50 pounds.
