Description
Rusty is a beautiful, smart, energetic golden retriever just over 6 months old. I've had him here in Glendale since about 12 weeks where he's been well socialized and learned basic house and obedience training.
Great with other dogs, people, and kids, although sometimes a little overly energetic for very small dogs/kids but never aggressive. Knows all basic commands, sit, stay, down, leave it, come, and "okay" as release. Crate trained and will go to his crate at bedtime ("night night") consistently, sometimes whines in the mornings to be taken out so may need to be crated in a different room or have schedule changes. Has been good with house training and I would say is fully house trained with consistency, but has had a few slip ups recently because I've been extremely inconsistent with him.
Rehoming because I don't have the time to commit to training and socializing him right now. It breaks my heart to have to let him go, but I know with the right owners he will thrive and have an amazing life and be an amazing companion.
Up to date on grooming, will get him scheduled for his next round of shots by the time prospective new owners come meet him (currently due for influenza, lepto, and a physical and fecal exam). He has never had any medical or health issues before and is in good health today. Also, he has lost all his baby teeth and adult teeth look healthy but they can verify at the vet (VCA aspenwood is where he's been taken and they've been great). Have paperwork showing pedigree, he is a purebred golden retriever.
Rehoming fee of $500. If interested call/text to set up an in person interview. I'd like for you to meet him, spend some time together and need to make sure he'll be going to a safe and loving home.
