Job Summary: Responsible to fabricate, assemble, modify, repair, test, and provide shop support to production and prototype cable, wire harnesses and electrical assemblies using customer supplied blueprints, specifications, and printed work instructions. The finished goods vary from simple handheld parts to large complex products and require a variety of tools and techniques to produce. Should have the ability to fabricate mission critical assemblies by performing basic assembly functions such as wire prep, crimping, and some soldering as set in manufacturing process instructions. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assembly and fabrication of cable and wire harnesses. Assemble and package products from fabricated, machined and purchased components. Use a variety of hand tools including impact drivers, drills, screw drivers, and crimpers. Work to meet customer and internal production schedules. Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task. Identify process improvements. Follow safety rules and quality standards. Adhere to company policies and procedures described in Employment Handbook. Drive to meet or exceed time goals for each job performed. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Ability to read, understand and execute both written and verbal instructions such as blueprints and electrical wiring schematics and written job instructions. Strong attention to detail, efficiency, time management and follow-up skills. Experience with electrical wire harness and cable assembly preferred. Past soldering experience a preferred. Must have the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to stand, sit, bend, and kneel without difficulty. Ability to repeatedly lift/pull/push 50lbs. Exposure to loud noises. Working in the presence of fork trucks and other manufacturing machinery.
