Description
Will oversee the cleaning performance of a small group of employees in assigned areas following established schedules and prescribed methods. Ideal person should be dependable, reliable, detail-oriented, and have good communication skills. Work Schedule: M - F - 3pm to 10pm ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains effective communication with the Project Manager. Requires satisfactory working knowledge in all major areas of building maintenance, including, restroom sanitation, office cleaning, carpet care, hard floor care, equipment operation and maintenance, chemical knowledge, MSDS and safety. Monitors staffing levels to satisfy Scope of Work while remaining within targeted labor hours. Assigns work and monitors the performance to assure that all contract requirements are met. Trains employees in proper techniques for the efficient, safe and quality performance of their job(s). Supervises employees in maintaining facilities in clean and orderly condition. Coordinates, reviews, and reports work performed by the group. Evaluates quality of work being done in all areas and reports conditions to the Project Manager. Inspects supply/utility closets for cleanliness, orderliness, and adequacy of supplies. Performs inventory inspection to determine consumption, waste, estimated needs. Determines adequate inventory levels of supplies required for successful performance of the contract.. Reiterates cleaning methods, which use materials at lowest consumption and produce most effective results. Assures employee uniforms, hygiene and overall appearance meet company standards when in the field. Confers with management regarding employees’ efficiency and conduct. Refers problems involving job discipline and poor performance to Project Manager for handling. Prepares all written reports and evaluations including quality control inspections, employee evaluations, inventory reports, safety and other forms as needed. Substitute for other Site Supervisors on short notice. Exhibits and promotes excellent customer service, attitude, and skills. Sustains the highest personal and building appearance standards according to guidelines. Attend meetings and training sessions as requested. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience Graduation from high school or equivalent, plus three years custodial or janitorial experience preferred with six months of supervisory experience. Demands a willingness to interact and cooperate in working with others. Education or technical training may be substituted for experience.
