Job description We are looking for an effective small Warehouse and Yard Manager to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations, oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide variety of pool and paver materials. This position is for our office in Stuart, Florida. Typical duties will include organizing inventory, loading and unloading trucks, occasional driver and a helper in the field. This position most importantly requires someone who will work hand in hand with Managers on a daily basis. Potential candidates must be acclimated to working outside. Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, physical, have a FL driver's license, and be approved by our company’s insurance to drive our vehicles. All employees are offered 401K benefits and paid vacation days after 1 year. Responsibilities: · Oversee receiving, warehouse organization, ensure efficient space utilization · Performance various housekeeping tasks to ensure work areas are clean and free of safety hazards Safely unload, document, and stock incoming materials from vendors. · Safely operate all power tools, hand tools and equipment used in work area. · Safely and neatly maintain storage areas, entry/exit points and yard areas. · Safely and accurately calculate, build/assemble, and stage customer orders to prepare them for delivery, inner-yard transfer, or employee pick-up.Helps w/ loading items (onto trucks, for delivery) · Maintain physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment and issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement · Keep the facility yard clean and dumpsters moving, well-organized, and in stock of all items Required Skills: High School Diploma or GED Previous forklift experience (Required) Mechanical aptitude Valid (Clean) drivers' license. Must be able to communicate (English) effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals at all levels of the organization Computer literate, with experience in email, word, and excel Highly self-motivated, organized & dependable Strong decision making and problem-solving skills Job Type: Full-time $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
