We are looking for a full-time dog trainer for our positive reinforcement training program. We currently offer one-on-one training with dogs who are also in our daycare program. We offer the basics (touch, sit, down, wait), more advance sessions including “place”, human socialization training, and leash training. Our facility is for small dogs only (under 35lbs). We are looking for an experienced trainer with good communication skills. The trainer will also be responsible for documenting sessions, speaking with clients in person and on the phone, and responding to emails with potential and current clients. They will also be interacting with the daycare and desk staff to update on the dog’s needs and progress as well as help to integrate some training into the dog’s daycare time. The ideal candidate would be willing to grow with the program as we hope to implement group classes and other offerings in the future. Hours: M-F - 10am - 6pm Requirements: - 1 year of professional dog training - Experience with positive reinforcement training - Good verbal communication - Good typing and written communication skills - Basic computer knowledge, google apps experience preferred (drive, docs, etc.) - Positive and friendly attitude - Ability to work as part of a team - Ability to be on feet for most of shift and move up/down stairs throughout shift Please submit a resume and cover letter to be considered for this position.
