This position requires several years of commercial experience or equivalent education in landscape maintenance. We are looking for an eager, motivated, responsible individual, with a good work ethic, and a desire to perform landscaping. Key abilities for this position are: • Ability to drive a truck and trailer • Must have a DOT physical card or obtain one within 30 days • Have knowledge of landscaping practices • Familiar with landscape equipment and small engines • Ability to operate most types of landscaping equipment associated with annual landscape maintenance such as, but not limited to: weed trimmers, shrub trimmers, backpack blowers, push and ride-on mowers • Should have experience at operating and maintaining Walker brand mowers • Ability to correctly identify multiple shrubs • Ability to trim shrubs and small trees well • Experience with hardscapes such as patios, walkways, walls - a plus • Self-motivated • Must have the ability to read written instructions and follow verbal instructions • Must have the ability to adapt and change throughout the day as the jobs and tempo change • Must work well with others • Must have your own reliable transportation • Must be accountable for self-conduct and equipment assigned • Small-engine mechanic skills - a plus All positions require the candidates to be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects. The starting rate will be adjusted accordingly if the employee performs well.
