Coronavirus Case Numbers Increase In East Haven Schools

EAST HAVEN, CT — So far this week, five students from across the district are reported to be positive for COVID-19, according to the schools case tracker. Two are from the high school, one from the middle school and the other two one each in elementary schools. Schools superintendent Erica Forti has said repeatedly, and the district COVID-19 case tracker shows, that none of the 46 cases to date in East Haven Public Schools are from what's called "in-school transmission." In other words, each case can be contact-traced to community spread, be it a gathering or an event.
