The Drew Wynne Foundation with Building Momentum invites you to the inaugural "DMVenture Derby" a Pitch Competition! In 2014 Drew and his business partner Jimmy quit their jobs to chase their dream to build a cold brew coffee business. Like many entrepreneurs, their startup was largely self-funded and initial capital proved challenging for Drew and Jimmy. Through fortunate engagement with a local area businessman who believed in their product and ultimately, their plan, Drew and Jimmy received an angel investment. The funds they received catalyzed their dream and a sustainable business, Riptide Coffee, became reality. Core to the Drew Wynne Foundation foundation is continuing to pay generosity and support in dreams forward. We invite you to join us on May 20th as five local DMV founders pitch to our panel of esteemed judges for their piece of a $20,000 prize pool. What is a pitch competition? If you haven't watched "Shark Tank" it is a contest where entrepreneurs present their business concept to a panel in the hope of winning a cash prize or investment capital. Doors open at 6 PM, first pitch starts at 630! Drinks and light appetizers will be provided. Please come and support these motivated entrepreneurs and Drew's legacy.
