MONUMENTAL DEVOTION: THE MCKINLEY NATIONAL MEMORIAL, is a story chronicling the intimate and personal stories behind the national memorial of the 25th President of the United States, William McKinley. The half-hour PBS Western Reserve documentary covers the life of William McKinley, including his path to the White House, his love and devotion to his wife, Ida; the heartbreak of losing two children, the mourning of a nation when his life was taken at the hands of an assassin, and the design and construction of President McKinley’s final resting place, a monument located in Canton, Ohio which remains a popular attraction to those who visit the area.
