Beer Mile Charity Run to benefit Gray for May and a celebration of North Water Brewing Run Club's one year anniversary! One whole year of running! Boy do we have a celebration planned! But most important is the Beer Mile Charity Run! This is a Good Beer Doing Good event. The proceeds from the beer run and $1 from each beer sold the whole day will go to Gray for May, a Charity near and dear to our Head Brewer Dylan. Gray for May raises awareness and money for the fight against brain cancer. In honor of Dylan’s Aunt, who fought this terrible disease, the money raised will be split between the American Cancer Society and a scholarship fund set up in his Aunts name for Zanesville High School Students. Details for the Beer Mile First and foremost ALL paces and face are welcome. There will be prizes given for first, second, and third place but everyone is welcome to join in the fun. Run or walk, drink or don't drink, we welcome it all! You must be 21 years of age or older to participate in the beer part of the beer mile or to place. We will have a course set that will total one mile and be split up into sections. Each section you will drink part of a beer that after the mile will be a total of 16 ounces. The proper amount of beer will be provided in each section. Details of course to come soon. Prizes First Place - Free one year NWB Run Club Membership ($50 value - check membership website for details) + one NWB merch OR 4-pack of your choice. Second Place - $25 NWB Gift Card Third Place - NWB T-shirt Times to determine the winners will be tracked through the Strava App. It is not required that you use this app to enter the run but for a chance to win a first, second or third place prize you must use Strava. Check-In @ 11:30am - Race Starts @ Noon Check-in will start at 11:30am. You will receive a wristband, your medal, and free beer or non-alcoholic beverage ticket for after the race.
