Doors open @7:30 An enigmatic performer, Dwayne Haggins has been described as “the love child of Hank Williams and Sam Cooke” and “the John Legend of rockabilly.” Whether adding new subtleties to an obvious melody or interpreting a time-worn lyric, his genuine feeling shines through. A whisper of love, a groan of pain, a whoop of joy, it’s all there in his unique artistry. Lauren King opens the show with her own inimitable beauty and grace. Her songs are odes to love lost and found, nostalgia for childhood and musings on the future with a courageousness all her own.
