Join Group for the East End and Naturally Curious Children this Earth Day at Downs Farm Preserve to create a recycled materials sculpture.
This year is Group for the East End’s 50th anniversary! Celebrate with us by joining us for a family friendly program at Downs Farm Preserve with Naturally Curious Children!
We'll see you on Sunday, April 24th at 10am to celebrate Earth Day by creating a Recycled Materials Sculpture. Artists will be able to choose items from a big collection of recycled materials to create their own unique sculptures on a piece of cardboard. We will have a central location where the materials will be set out with seating available but feel free to bring a blanket to spread out anywhere on the property while you create.
This project is recommended for ages 1 and up, with varying amounts of assistance needed. We will be using lots of glue so you may want to bring some washcloths or wipes to clean hands. Please see www.groupfortheeastend.org or @artfully.longisland on Instagram for more information and the required registration form. Hope to see you there!
