Since the 1980's I have heard republicans claim they are the party of a smaller government and fiscal responsibility. What I have seen is under republicans since 1958 our federal government has always grown bigger, more powerful, and more expensive. I do hold the democrats 49% responsible because they voted for future problems. Nixon (R) gave us the War on Drugs based on the lie that marihuana is a Schedule 1 drug, the DEA, and the HMO Act. All 3 of those issues have caused us a lot of problems, starting with millions of people going to jail for simple MJ possession, to the HMO Act leading us to now have the most expensive health care on the planet. Our current President Biden voted for Nixon's HMO Act in 1973, the first year he took office as a Senator. President Reagan gave us Supply Side Economics that increased our national debt 180% during his 8 years. As a Senator President Biden voted for that. I could go on, but if you don't see the pattern already, you will never see it. Presently people are blaming President Biden for our highest inflation since 1982, when he first voted for Reagan Voodoo Economics as a Senator. In the 1980's Reagan was able to borrow money from lots of countries like Japan and Germany to cover his deficit spending. Not any more. Since President Bush started his Quantitative Easing in 2008 that Senator Biden voted for, our economy has been propped up by excessive federal spending at artificially low interest rates. The same people saying today Bidens printing money to cover his spending is causing inflation, were all quiet when President Trump did the same thing. President Obama should have stopped Quantitative Easing by 2012, but he did not, so Democrats are just as responsible as Republicans for the inflation we are seeing today. This falls under clean up your own political party, before you complain about the other one? If you have an extra hour and a half tomorrow, get on the internet and listen to President Trumps phone call to our SOS Raffensperger, and then look up and read Since the 1980's I have heard republicans claim they are the party of a smaller government and fiscal responsibility.
