Description
CLIFTON, NJ — There are now 14 Rite Aids in New Jersey that will test you for the coronavirus, whether you have symptoms or not.
And one of them is the Rite Aid on Clifton Avenue in Clifton.
Because this testing is offered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Rite Aid test is free. It is available to anyone 18 and older, even if they have no symptoms. You must make an appointment here and show ID at the test site: https://www.riteaid.com/pharmacy/services/covid-19-testing
However, please note this is not the antibodies test: It only tells you whether you currently have coronavirus or not. Here are locations where you can get an antibody test.
The testing is not done via a saliva swab; samples are taken via the traditional nasal swab. The Rite Aid sites are unique because you can do the nasal swab yourself, while being overseen by a Rite Aid pharmacist.
