Come learn about monarch butterflies and help Cooper Sprouts Garden plant a native flower garden to support the monarch butterfly migration. Adventure Aquarium and Camden Urban Agriculture Collaborative (CUAC) are working together to celebrate AZA's Party for the Planet by planting a monarch butterfly garden at Cooper Sprouts Garden. Volunteers will assist in the planting of the monarch butterfly host plant, milkweed, and a variety of flowering plants that the monarch butterfly and other native insects use as food. Volunteers will also help keep the garden clean keep by picking up trash in and around the garden which will promote healthy habitats and prevents trash from ending up in the Delaware River. Get ready to get your hands dirty! Starter Garden Kits are also available to Camden residents.
