Get your gears moving by engineering your very own moving vehicle. Design, build, & compete how far your vehicle can go. Free for all ages. Get your gears moving with Brain Balance San Diego (BBSD) and The San Diego Automotive Museum (SDAM) by engineering your very own race vehicle in celebration of Remake Learning Days. Register for a complimentary S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) kit to design, build, and compete how far your vehicle can go. Ignite your child’s creativity, imagination, and planning skills which are critical for fostering brain development and connectivity and cultivate important 21st century skills like teamwork and attention! S.T.E.A.M. Vehicle Contest*: -Join us Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM at The San Diego Automotive Museum (SDAM) to test and race your vehicles! -Contestants will be judged on the creativity and innovation of their vehicle, speed, and travel distance in their respective age groups (5-8, 9-11, 12-14). -All winners will receive a special prize and have a chance to display their vehicle at The San Diego Automotive Museum and win a free Brain Balance Comprehensive Assessment. -Winners will be announced May 2, 2022. Registration required. Limited supplies. Free for all ages; best for ages 5-14. Limit 1 kit per child. Unregistered, walk-up contestants may compete while supplies last. Contestants will have free admission into the Museum after the race. Registrants may pick up their S.T.E.A.M. kits at either Brain Balance of San Diego in Carmel Mountain Ranch (10175 Rancho Carmel Dr., Suite 124, San Diego, CA 92128) or The San Diego Automotive Museum in Balboa Park (2080 Pan American Plaza, San Diego, CA 92101) between April 11th-30th. Select your preferred pick-up location in your registration. *Disclaimer: Contest is valid for Brain Balance of San Diego and The San Diego Automotive Museum only. Brain Balance Centers are individually owned and operated. This contest is in no way affiliated with any other Brain Balance Center location. Contest begins May 1, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM PST. Winners will be contacted May 2, 2022. Prize value is $5-$10. Each San Diego Automotive Museum ticket value is up to $14.50. Free Brain Balance assessment value is $195. No purchase necessary. This agreement and all actions related to it shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. I certify that I am 18 years old or older. If one or more children are listed below, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of those children and have the authority to execute this release on his, her or their behalf. I have read and fully understand this agreement and sign the same of my own free act. The San Diego Automotive Museum Photography/Voice/Video Release I grant the San Diego Automotive Museum, located at 2080 Pan American Plaza. San Diego, CA 92101, all rights, title, and interests in any and all photographs, images, video, or audio recordings of myself and my likeness or voice, made by the San Diego Automotive Museum in connection with events. I understand that these materials may be used for promotional, educational, and/or archiving purposes and that the San Diego Automotive Museum is not obligated to notify me of their usage.
