SF Photographer David Liittschwager projects images from his new book from
National Geographic Press: Octopus, Seahorse, Jellyfish
David Liittschwager has spent 12 years photographing octopuses, seahorses and jellyfish for this book. He traveled to more than 28 locations around the world—from Tasmania to Bonaire, the Florida Keys to the Solomon Islands, Portugal to Japan—equipped with his trusty 500-pound photo studio.
The acclaimed National Geographic photographer has been able to capture three notoriously mysterious sea creatures and their unnerving beauty. As New Yorker writer and bestselling author Elizabeth Kolbert notes in her foreword to the book, “the marvelous creatures in this book need—and deserve—our protection.”
A selection of David’s photographs will be on sale at the event which begins at 7:30pm (doors at 7pm).
