Come walk with us as we search for spring culinary fungi for Mother's Day! Meet Up Location: Apex NC - exact location to be provided upon ticket purchase. Lets walk along the lake this Mother's Day while will we work on how to identify different culinary fungi and discuss their nutritional values. Some things we may find on our forage adventure are Dryad's Saddle, Mica Cap, Yellow Morel, Black Morel, Half-Free Morel, Oyster Mushroom, Deer Mushroom, and Wine Caps. 5 out of 10 strength and endurance - approximately 3 1/2 mile walk on very few dedicated paths. This is a family friendly event. Children under 12 are free! Dress for weather and comfort Bring a basket, trowel, knife, and any other tools for gathering fungi, water and bag lunch. *Must wear BRIGHT ORANGE or REFLECTIVE clothing / hat* Identification materials will be provided at the location. Last but not the least, follow the CDC guideline for Covid-19.
