Girls ages 8-11 will work in teams to build gumdrop and toothpick bridges. Bridge strength will be tested. Strongest bridge wins prizes. This Event is Co-hosted by Crue Brew Brewery and The Girls Brewery. Girls STEM night is designed to to increase girls interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Around the age of Middle School boys tend to become louder and girls tend to fall back in their interest in STEM activities. In many Tech schools and Jobs Men out number Women 10 to 1 or more in some cases. All proceeds go toward the purchase of a Touchview Interactive Smartboard for The Williams Middle School in Bridgewater,Ma. This is not a school run event. The school is just the beneficiary of the funds. We want to increase the number of Women in fields of Technology, make a better today, and help create higher paying jobs for Women in the Future.
