Pride Prom for All Ages! Rainbow Cafe is hosting our 1st annual community Pride Prom at Garden Grove in Carbondale! Get your gayest formalwear ready and be ready for a night you won't forget - complete with drag performances, drinks, music, and more! Southern Illinois Pride Prom is open for everyone regardless of age, so don't be afraid to come and show off your moves! Tickets will be $5 at the door. Nominations for Pride Prom King, Queen, and In-Between will be open from Saturday, May 7th, and close on Friday, May 20th. Pride Prom Royalty is reserved for those ages 13 through 25. Royalty voting will commence throughout SoIL Pride Prom and results will be announced near the end of the evening. Featured drag performers will be announced soon! Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, courtesy of Garden Grove, in a reserved 21 and older section. Masking will be optional, but all prom-goers ages 18 and older must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination for entry. Youth ages 17 and under are encouraged to be vaccinated, but are not required.
