Join Lifting Lucy for A Once in a Lifetime Celebration of Creativity and Community! “I want to tell people to create. Just start by creating your day. Then create your life.” - The Artist This historic and exclusive event will provide an evening of unapologetic fun, funky music, and celebration of creative expressions in beer, the culinary arts, and music. This event will afford all in attendance with unique opportunities for networking, stimulating conversations, and the chance to party like it's 1999 at the home of the Artist Formerly Known as Prince. The Brewtiful Ones, our crafty take on an iconic classic, will be a curated community of our "dearly beloveds" within a fun, safe atmosphere that celebrates artistic expressions of creativity across music, the culinary arts, and craft beer. It also will be a final chance for those attending the 2022 Craft Brewers Conference to nurture Lifting Lucy's efforts rooted in fostering unity among BIWoC in the beer community. We look forward to sharing an amazing evening filled with good food and even better beer, legendary music, conversation, and most importantly, community with you all! See you there, soon! About Lifting Lucy This organization is rooted in the undeniable truth that we are our sisters’ keepers and that BIWOC have always held a sacred space in fermentation. From being the mother of civilization (Lucy), to our participation in the rich origins of brewing and fermentation, to our future in the brewing industry - BIWOC have and will always make valuable contributions to beer culture and development. Ongoing fundraising and sales of merchandise will enable us to aid women of color who are intersted to attend cornerstone events and participating in educational opportunities within the industry.
