Description
We were both at the Apocalyptica concert on April 7th at the Masquerade in downtown Atlanta.
During the intermission before they were set to play, you kindly offered to take a few pics of my mom & me in front of the stage.
We were all standing quite close to the stage, but to the side, underneath the speakers stage right.
You then struck up a conversation with me.
We talked about our music tastes -- you asked me my top 10 favorite bands, just off the top of my head. You said Boston was one of your favorite bands, & that as a child, your parents played a lot of classical music for you. You also told me you'd been to approximately 600 live shows in your life already, & you even showed me your calendar, which was jam-packed with events.
You said you worked as a DJ for 15 years, & that you enjoyed all genres of music, although rave had to be your favorite.
You're from Chattanooga. You wore a checkered blue flannel shirt & looked to be around your 50s, with a short beard that complemented your face pretty well. You seemed cool & came off as a very enthusiastic conversationalist.
Right before Apocalyptica came on, you asked me my name & told me yours, & we shook hands. Your name started with a J, & mine with an A.
I thought we might continue talking after the show & maybe even exchange contact info, but sometime towards the end, I suddenly noticed that you'd left before they'd even finished playing. Tbh, I was pretty disappointed.
I kept looking around to see if maybe you'd just stepped out for a minute, but unfortunately, you were as good as gone.
You'll likely never see this & we'll never cross paths again, but I figured this is my only shot. & I feel I gotta take it.
If this sounds like you, please REACH OUT!
