We are a wholesale perennial plant nursery looking for someone with a desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, physically strenuous environment. Must possess a willingness to learn and carry out instructions effectively. Must have a record of reliability and dependability and excellent communication skills. Experience is always a plus, we always are willing to teach this awesome life skill. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: ⦁Responsible to ensure top quality plants are grown in timely manner for wholesale distribution. ⦁Responsible for all aspects of perennial plant production. Planting, cutting, weeding, moving, pulling orders, etc... ⦁Assist with and/or perform additional duties as required by operating needs of the company or as directed by management. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education and Experience: 3+ years of plant production experience. Horticultural education preferred, although equivalent experience is very satisfactory. Licenses and/or Certificates: Valid driver’s license ABILITIES ⦁To take and follow directions with ability to work with little to no supervision. ⦁Demonstrate to work as a team and to perform duties independently. ⦁Establish and maintain effective working relationships. ⦁Important to provide positive attitude. ⦁Periodically Lift 50 lbs. ⦁Attention to detail required, ⦁Multi-task in a fast-paced work environment ⦁Must be organized. ⦁Strong time management skills. ⦁Written and verbal communication skills WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Working Conditions: Frequently exposed too extreme cold and hot temperatures, wet or humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions. Although a very pleasant and beautiful environment. ( Not in a climate controlled building) The position will average 30-40 hours per week.
