Darien Coronavirus Update: Slight Increase In Confirmed Cases

DARIEN, CT — As of Monday, Darien had 184 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19), an increase of two from the weekend, according to First Selectman Jayme Stevenson. On Friday, the number of coronavirus-related hospitalizations for local residents was 10, but an updated figure for Monday was not available. Statewide, the number of coronavirus-related deaths rose by 74, bringing Connecticut's total to 1,998, according to state health officials. Gov. Ned Lamont said on Monday that his administration will issue preliminary guidance later this week on reopening the state.
