I have a 1 yr old "heeler/shepherd mix". After a little research, I think she may be Anatolian shepherd mix, not sure. We got her from a family in Ft. Collins. I have since had brain surgery, pneumonia and am not strong enough to continue to care for her. She is energetic and needs a home that can get out for walks and keep up with her. She is housebroken with a doggie door. I am not sure how she would do without it. She an attention lover and literally gives hugs. The previous family said she does well in a kennel, but I personally do not kennel my dogs. She is fixed, up to date on vaccines and does well with other dogs. We do have cats and she is very interested in them but she is too forceful with her play for them. She does great with kids. However, I do recommend a family with older kids as she does jump from time to time. My younger granddaughers are afraid of her because of it. I need to rehome her soon, however, I will do a home check to ensure proper living arrangements. If you live in an apartment, I would like a letter from management stating they allow large dogs.
