Here are the top stories today in Denver: Pedestrian deaths on the rise. The increase in pedestrian fatalities across the county over the first half of 2021 continues mimics a long-term trend of our streets and roads being more dangerous for people on foot. According to the report by the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), pedestrian deaths have skyrocketed over the last decade – from 4,457 in 2011 to 6,516 in 2020 – a 46% increase. (CBS4) West Colfax viaduct getting a mural near Mile High Stadium. Volunteers are working on the West Colfax viaduct improvement project, where parts of the Colfax overpass will be painted with a mural. (9News)Metro Denver's mobile home residents at most at risk in today's hot housing market. Nationally, investment companies are snapping up mobile home parks and building luxury apartments in their place. (CO Newsline) DU Pioneers win hockey championship. After trailing most of the game the DU Pioneers scored five goals to defeat Minnesota State 5-1 on Saturday in Boston for the NCAA Hockey Championship. (CBS4)Federal Judge Dismisses Lawsuit.
