ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MD — Community members around Aberdeen Proving Ground may notice noise this week. The sound is from testing at the military installation.
"These operations are not hazardous to residents in our surrounding communities and are integral to ensuring continued readiness of service members," officials at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) said in a statement Monday morning.
At the base in Harford County, research engineers, scientists, technicians and administrators develop military weapons, electronics and equipment.
Testing at APG is planned from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 11, through Friday, April 15.
Each day, APG officials said they monitor the weather and noise readings to gauge training exercises accordingly.
Anyone concerned about APG tests may call the installation at 443-655-5108.
