Here are the top stories today in New Orleans: A 14-year-old is recovering after becoming the victim of a shoting in Desire on Saturday. According to police, the suspect approached a vehicle that was occupied by the young victim and others and began firing shots. The teen was taken to the hospital for treatment while NOPD continues to investigate the incident. (WDSU New Orleans) A 19-year-old inmate has escaped from the Bridge City juvenile jail. The young man broke out of the faciulity at 3 am on Sunday and has remained on the run since. In an effort the break out, he struck and injured a staff member multiple times. The staff member is receiving medical treatment while NOPD continues to search for him. (NOLA.com)Two men were left injured after a shooting in Mid-City on Saturday. The victims were taken to the hospital after being shot on Palmetto St. The investigation is ongoing and there haven't been any updates as to motive or potential suspects.
