BYO Darien Effort to Support Darien Parks and Recreation Dept "Carry-in/ Carry-out Campaign" The Darien "Carry-in/ Carry-out campaign" is a reminder for people tomake sure to carry-out everything that they have brought to Darien'sbeautiful public areas. It is so important for the community to comeand enjoy a place clear of debris. It is also a wonderful habit forpeople to teach to their children.It is not a new request to take home all items you bring to a public area.In nature, items left behind can negatively affect wildlife, causingirreparable damage. At this time, the new concern is that items leftbehind may contribute to the spread of Coronavirus. To show our support, BYODarien is sponsoring an art contest to communicate in an artistic way the message of Darien's Carry-in/Carry-out campaign. Submit your work: please make sure to add your name, age and telephone number to the submission. You can drop it off at Palmers in Darien or you canemail your entry to [email protected] There will be prizes to the 1 st and 2 nd place for the following categories:up to 11 years old, 12- 17 years old and 18 and up. Adults are also welcome to submit work. The artwork will be displayed at Weed Beach on June 27th it will be an outdoors art show. The community is invited to come and vote for the best artwork. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful art that Darien can create!
