OSWEGO, IL — To fundraise for a Kenya mission project and the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity, Oswego Presbyterian Church will host its annual barbecue dinner April 26.
Proceeds will benefit the Lopez family whose Habitat for Humanity house is under construction in Aurora. A wall raising is tentatively set for May, according to a news release.
5B's BBQ will be providing dinner for the drive-thru style event scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the church, 1976 Route 25 in Oswego.
Dinners will include a choice of two pork chops, two quarter chickens or a combination of both. All meals include sides of applesauce, coleslaw, baked beans and a dinner roll. Hot dogs with sides will be available for kids.
Tickets for adults cost $15 in advance or $17 at the door, while kids' meals are $7. Admission can be purchased from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at the church office or at the Habitat for Humanity office at Genesis Community Church, 1300 S. Broadway in Montgomery.
