6 Darien Residents Elected To RTM As Write-In Candidates

DARIEN, CT — Six Darien residents were elected to the Representative Town Meeting as write-in candidates in last week's election, according to Republican Registrar of Voters John Visi. The town had 10 openings to run for the RTM after the ballot was finalized for the Nov. 3 election. Each of the write-in candidates needed at least 25 votes to be elected. The six write-in candidates joining the RTM are: District 1: Priscilla J. Wong, who received 46 votesDistrict 4: Meghana Bhat, 37 votesDistrict 4: Nicholas N. Branca, 85 votesDistrict 5: Megan Kilcourse, 26 votesDistrict 6: Christopher H. Taylor, 94 votesDistrict 6: Tara A. Wurm, 66 votes Two write-in candidates did not reach the 25 vote threshold: Gen Sonya Distance, who ran for District 4 and received six votes; and Michael S. Wheeler, who ran for District 5 and received 23 votes, according to Visi.
