As always, proceeds from this event will benefit the American Cancer Society in helping to fund cancer research, prevention and early detection initiatives, patient service and more.
The theme for this year's Relay for Life is "Relay-ville," which will see the event set up as a kind of storefront, with each participating team operating their own onsite fundraiser.
With 32 fundraising days left to reach its $50,000, Relay for Life says $14,365.30 has already been donated.
The top team donation thus far has been RiverFall Credit Union, which has given $7,759, followed by $4,036 from Alabama Credit Union.
