Description
DANBURY, CT — The Community Health Center has expanded its free coronavirus testing to seven days a week in Danbury. Previously, testing had only been available weekdays.
The walk-up or drive-by testing is available to anyone, regardless of age. Symptoms, a doctor's referral or an appointment are not required as a precursor for testing. Children under the age of 18 may be tested with parent or guardian consent.
Testing is conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Western Connecticut State University's Westside Campus. Due to high demand and longer wait times, lines begin closing starting at 3 p.m. and closing completely at 3:30 p.m., according to CHC's website. Testing continues through 4 p.m. until the final car in line is tested.
Results are typically available in three to five days.
All testing locations will be closed on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26.
