A Google search for "Republica PDX" yields the following description, which perfectly describes the scene: "unassuming Mexican eatery with a terrace". We were both seated at said terrace: I was with a small group + an overzealous puppy, you were seated across from us at a table meant for two. Unassumingly, I waited for someone to join your party while I socialized with my friends. According to well-meaning friends, apparently you were amused by our conversations and even laughed at a few of my punch lines. We were dreaming up a big group trip to Mexico, and I volunteered to tag along and babysit. Nobody did end up joining your table, entonces... would you care to be my +1?
