Description

DANBURY, CT — The city is looking to retain a commissioning agent in its ramp up to soliciting bids for the Ellsworth Avenue Elementary construction project. The firm that is selected will provide the city with "all of the necessary commissioning services for the Ellsworth Avenue School Addition project from design through project completion and occupancy," according to the request for qualifications and proposals posted on the city website. The Ellsworth Project will involve adding seven classrooms to the Family & Community Engagement Center on Osborne Street and connect that building to the nearby elementary school. The city has identified a need for more space district-wide as the student enrollment grows across all grade ranges, according to the RFQ/P. The project will provide for enrollment growth for Prekindergarten through Grade 5. The city intends for design and bidding to be completed in the first quarter, and construction begin June 2021 for August 202 occupancy. Submissions will be accepted until Jan. 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
