Over the last 11 years, our family company has been bringing distressed properties buildings back to life, and turning them into quality apartments that we maintain and manage. We have over 60 apartments in the Providence area that we currently manage and are continuing to bring on more. We are looking for an apprentice who will be working with us as we transform distressed/ and older buildings into beautiful, higher end apartments, then help maintain them day to day. We can teach you from the ground up. Work can include, demo and cleanup, construction / framing, siding, window and door installation, flooring, tile, painting, carpentry. Also, we have day to day maintenance of existing apartment and buildings which can include replacing bulbs, painting, small repairs, clogs, moving furniture, changing water heaters, etc. About You: We are looking for someone who wants to learn. You can be someone that knows a little bit or experienced in a some of the trades above, but wants to learn about the others listed. We have easy days and hard days… but you have to be willing to take on the hard tasks … and the easy tasks that we work through every day. Someone who will help us do the work with Quality, because we keep and maintain almost all the buildings we renovate. We rather you take a little longer to do it right, than rush through it and do it wrong. We work all year long, so you don’t have to worry about being laid off in the winter, or sitting at home when it’s raining. There is always a lot of work to be done, but there will be times when we do work outside in the cold weather, or move things through the rain/snow or work in buildings with no heat. Some of the work requires heavy lifting (50+ pounds), climbing up to 3 story ladders, being on staging, and being in the elements. Again, some days are hard, some days are easy. But the skills you will learn will be priceless as you will learn how to do multiple different things… which also makes the work fun, because we are not doing siding, for example, all year long! Most importantly, we are looking for someone who shares our passion … Our Tenants are Our Customers, and we treat them with the highest standards, and looking for are looking for someone to join our team that can do the same. We are not your normal construction/landlord/management company. We actually care … about buildings, about our tenants, about our neighbors and about you. Whether you speak English, hablas Español, or falas Portuguese, we can teach you!
