NEW FAIRFIELD, CT — Firefighters tackled a garage fire on Friday afternoon.
Shortly before 3 p.m. the New Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department answered a call for a possible structure fire on Frisbee Street. First responders found smoke coming from a garage.
Crews managed to keep the fire contained to the garage, and away from the living areas of the house, and no injuries were reported.
The Putnam Lake Fire Department assisted with an engine at water source at Ball Pond boat launch and a tanker for additional water.
The fire is under investigation by the New Fairfield Fire Marshal's Office.
