Reward Offered For Help Nabbing Danbury Bank Robber: Police

DANBURY, CT — Police are seeking the public's help in their investigation into a bank robbery. Shortly before 11 a.m. on Monday, the Danbury Police Department was called following a robbery at the People's United Bank, 44 Lake Ave Extension. According to the police report, a lone, white, man described as approximately 5'6" with a thin build and wearing a gray baseball hay, gray sweater and gray pants approached the teller. The man indicated that he had a gun and demanded money from the teller. The man then left the store with an undisclosed amount of money, and drove off in a blue Hyundai in an unknown direction, according to police. Police said the man is responsible for several other bank robberies recently. The Connecticut Bankers Reward Association is offering a $3,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the individual responsible for the bank robbery.
