Do you love dogs? Are you looking for a new opportunity with a flexible schedule? We are a busy dog daycare and boarding facility in Troy looking for full-time candidates to join our team! Must be 18 or older to apply. Minimum of a high school diploma is required. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Interacting with individual and groups of dogs in healthy off-leash play to help them get exercise, socialization and love with the goal of sending them home tired and happy. Will start with small dogs and move up to working with our larger, more active breeds of dogs. Interacting with human customers including answering questions and communications about their dog’s day or stay. Recognizing the difference between appropriate and inappropriate behaviors while the dogs are playing, as well as giving positive reinforcement for good behavior. Keeping the facility clean, which will include but is not limited to disposing of dog waste, mopping/sweeping/disinfecting the facility while adhering to company standards and safety protocol. Basic grooming i.e. bathing, nail trim, brushing. Preparing meals and feeding dogs. Requirements: Full time with hours between 30 and 40 each week. Must work early mornings starting at 7:00 am as well as a minimum of two weekend days each month. You must have a passion for dogs but also like their humans too. The health and safety of our customer’s pets and our employees is our top priority. You must be fast on your feet, be able to read canine body language and be comfortable cleaning up poop. Have a calm and friendly demeanor. Confidence working with dogs of all breeds and sizes in an off-leash environment. Experience in teaching basic commands to a dog. Prefer experience in one or more of the following areas: Dog Daycare Center, Dog Training, Kennel Management, Veterinary Services, or Rescue Organization. Customer Service experience. Able to be physically active for 8 – 10 hours at a time including bending, stooping, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. with no restrictions and be able to listen to dogs barking for many hours at a time. Must be dependable and punctual. 30-day probationary period requires no missed shifts or tardiness in the first 90 days. Committed to coming to work on time every time.
