Strictly legit unlike some of the post's I've seen here. Let me also answer the question, "Why a female singer and not a male?" Its been my experience that women are more comfortable with covering material like Adele, Pink, Rihanna, The Pretty Reckless, In This Moment while also crossing over to Stevie Wonder, Harry Styles, Tom Petty, Lenny Kravitz, Audioslave, Prince, The Black Crowes and a broader range of genres regardless of artists gender. My goal is to start simple, guitar and vocals with the freedom to allow it include additional musicians if the potential and motivation is there. Cover songs are the quickest way to build a repertoire and find common ground. Start in a low pressure environment like an open mic, and potentially work our way into some showcases. Professional experience not required, just a reasonable level of maturity as an adult. I've been playing guitar for 20+ years with a fairly good command of the instrument. I might be a little rusty but I'm quick to get back to the top of my game.
