Busy music lesson studio in Silverton Oregon seeks an in-person music instructor for Mon/Tues/Fri afternoon/evenings and Sat mid-mornings. This is an independent contract part-time position, W-9 and 1099Misc required. Ideal candidates should have college level major, minor, or certificate in music or equivalent level of experience. Duties include teaching private and group music classes to ages 6-99. Excellent part time gig (could lead to full time), fun and relaxed environment. Minimal extra duties other than holding lessons. We are seeking a qualified candidate who can play and teach various instruments. We are willing to mentor and train the right person with limited teaching experience. Can you play more than one instrument? Great! Duties include: running day-to-day private music lessons, group lessons, and music camps; developing and implementing curriculum and biannual music recitals; building and maintaining relationships with parents and students; and using the online student portal to track and record lessons and student information. This is an INDEPENDENT CONTRACT position, which means you will be required to sign W-9 and a studio contract, and will have to report your own tax information. This is a somewhat flexible part-time, early afternoon/evening, job that will start out with 10-20 students and could rapidly grow depending on how much you would like to teach. Preference given to music majors/graduates and those with reliable transportation.
