Date: 4/11/22 Title of Supervisor: Grounds Maintenance Manager Year Round __; Seasonal __X___; Full time __X__; Part Time – Days/week__5-7__ Supervisory Responsibilities of this position (if applicable): None Objective of the Position / Key Job responsibilities: Grounds maintenance workers assist year-round employees with upkeep of Shelburne Farms lawns, roads, and special events support. Essential Functions: Duties and Responsibilities Mowing & trimming of lawns and road sides. Tree and shrub maintenance including pruning and installation. Seasonal road maintenance repairs Garbage, composting, and recycling services. Special event support including ( Set up, break down, parking and clean up) Maintaining equipment and vehicles, in a safe and use-full condition Position Qualifications and Requirements: Knowledge, skills, and experience 18 years old Able to perform manual labor outdoors in all weather conditions Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment, (references required) Able to climb ladder to 8 feet Able to lift 75 lbs. Valid Vermont drivers license in good standing High School Diploma or equivalency Physical factors / working conditions: Physically demanding out door work 95% of the time. Seasonal work load may require greater then 40 Hrs / week to complete work requirements. Some weekend scheduling of work will be required.
