Ruger Needs a New Home

Ruger is almost 3 years old and has been a wonderful family dog for us. He is very affectionate, goofy, loves people and other dogs. He is fully trained and does not have accidents in the house and he is up to date on all his shots. So, you might be asking why we would be looking to re-home him - We have a 2yr old that does not understand she can't pull on him and Ruger bit her. We are absolutely heart-broken to have to get rid of him but we can't have him around our daughter. We called the animal rescue league and they let us know that he would be put down if we surrendered him to them which we are not ok with. He is not aggressive at all but can't be around small children given his bite history. He would do well in an adult only household. Please let me know if I can help with any other questions about him - he really is the sweetest boy and will make someone very happy. It is very important to us that he goes to a good loving home and we would want to see where he is going before giving him up. *Update* Pending home evaluation.
