***** $1,500 Sign-On Bonus ***** Packaging Associate - Roll Stock What You Will Learn: *Properly identify primal cuts and sub-primal cuts of Beef & Pork *Operate Vacuum sealer properly sealing bags *Applying the proper labels *Ensure packages are sealed and packaged according to their proper spec. *Choose appropriate size bag for meat cut minimizing waste *Fill dip tank to proper level and avoid overfilling with product with no overflowing tank *Communicate quality issues or count discrepancies to Lead *Label bins correctly and running pallets as orders are finished *Read order sheets, and understand pieces per bag How to be a Team Player: *Arrive on time and ready for work *Follow Good Manufacturing Practices *Follow safety protocols including wearing Personal Protective Equipment *Maintain a clean and safe work area *Ask for help and offer help *Follow directions and work as a team *Work with the rest of the team to ensure production goals are met About Vermont Packinghouse: We specialize in natural and organic meat products, from slaughter to fully cooked. Job Type: Full-time, Shift from 7:30am-4:30pm Pay: Starts at $15.50/hr and will increase to $20.50/hr as you complete our training program.
