Packaging Associate - Roll Stock
What You Will Learn:
*Properly identify primal cuts and sub-primal cuts of Beef & Pork
*Operate Vacuum sealer properly sealing bags
*Applying the proper labels
*Ensure packages are sealed and packaged according to their proper spec.
*Choose appropriate size bag for meat cut minimizing waste
*Fill dip tank to proper level and avoid overfilling with product with no overflowing tank
*Communicate quality issues or count discrepancies to Lead
*Label bins correctly and running pallets as orders are finished
*Read order sheets, and understand pieces per bag
How to be a Team Player:
*Arrive on time and ready for work
*Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
*Follow safety protocols including wearing Personal Protective Equipment
*Maintain a clean and safe work area
*Ask for help and offer help
*Follow directions and work as a team
*Work with the rest of the team to ensure production goals are met

We specialize in natural and organic meat products, from slaughter to fully cooked. Our goal is to the most sophisticated niche meat processor in New England, producing healthy, delicious products in beautiful packaging.
Job Type: Full-time, Shift from 7:30am-4:30pm
Pay: Starts at $15.50/hr and will increase to $20.50/hr as you complete our training program. We are dedicated to your success at Vermont Packinghouse and train fully for all positions.
